Eka-Ślokī (the Scripture: In One Verse) is attributed to Śrī Śaṅkarācarya. It consists of a single verse revealing oneself as the only jyotis (light) in one's life.

kiṃ jyotis tava bhānumān ahani me rātrau pradīpādikaṃ
syād evaṃ ravi-dīpa-darśana-vidhau kiṃ jyotir ākhyāhi me।
cakṣus tasya nimīlanādi-samaye kiṃ dhīr dhiyo darśane
kiṃ tatrāham ato bhavān paramakaṃ jyotis tad asti prabho॥

kim, jyotis, yuṣmad, bhūnumat, ahan, asmad, rātri, pradīpa-ādika
√as, evam, ravi-dīpa-darśana-vidhi, kim, jyotis, ā-√khyā, asmad;
cakṣus, tad, nimīlana-ādi-samaya, kim, dhī, dhī, darśana
kim, tatra, asmad, atas, bhavat, paramaka, jyotis, tad, √as, prabhu.
[गुरुः उवाच] – अहनि किं तव ज्योतिस्? [शिष्यः उवाच] – मे (मम) [ज्योतिस्] भानुमान्।
[गुरुः उवाच] – रात्रौ [किं]? [शिष्यः उवाच] – प्रदीप-आदिकं।
[गुरुः उवाच] – एवं स्यात्, रवि-दीप-दर्शन-विधौ (सूर्य-दीपयोः दर्शन-प्रकारे) किं ज्योतिस् मे (मह्यम्) आख्याहि? [शिष्यः उवाच] – चक्षुस्।
[गुरुः उवाच] – तस्य [चक्षुषः] निमीलन-आदि-समये किं [ज्योतिस्]? [शिष्यः उवाच] – धीः।
[गुरुः उवाच] – धियः दर्शने किं [ज्योतिस्]? [शिष्यः उवाच] – तत्र अहं [ज्योतिस्]।
[गुरुः उवाच] – अतस् भवान् परमकं ज्योतिस्। [शिष्यः उवाच] – प्रभो, तद् [सत्यम्] अस्ति॥

(Teacher:) What is your light (jyotis, by which you know) during the day?
(Student:) For me it is the sun.
(Teacher:) During the night?
(Student:) Something like a lamp.
(Teacher:) So it is. In these two ways of knowing what is the jyotis? Please tell me.
(Student:) The eye.
(Teacher:) When the eye closes for some reason, then what?
(Student:) It (the jyotis) is the mind (dhī).
(Teacher:) When the individual thoughts are seeing, then what (is their jyotis)?
(Student:) There, it is myself (aham).
(Teacher:) Because of this (–one’s self being more pervasive than any celestial or terrestrial light, any of the senses, and even your own mind that comprehends your universe), your very Existence (bhava) is the ultimate jyotis.
(Student:) O Master, That is it.
